I was reading through your solution to the Einstein quiz, which seems
to attempt to use the hints in the simplest order so that it's more
clear. If so, then I'd suggest that for step 8 you instead just use
hint #3 and hint #12 to fill in "water" for the first house, and go on
from there. I think it's unncessary to use four hints in one step, and
it's not immediately clear.

9. step - use Hint 3
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit | |Swede
Beverage| |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil| | | |BlueMaster
Pet | |Horse | | |Dog

10. step - use Hint 13
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit |German|Swede
Beverage| |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil| | |Prince|BlueMaster
Pet | |Horse | | |Dog

11. step - use Hint 6
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit |German|Swede
Beverage| |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil| |PalMal|Prince|BlueMaster
Pet | |Horse |birds | |Dog

12. step - use Hint 15
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit |German|Swede
Beverage|Water |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil|Blend |PalMal|Prince|BlueMaster
Pet | |Horse |birds | |Dog

13. step - use Hint 10
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit |German|Swede
Beverage|Water |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil|Blend |PalMal|Prince|BlueMaster
Pet |Cats |Horse |birds | |Dog

And the solution is

14. step - The German keeps the FISH
        |House1|House2|House3|House4|House5
Color |Yellow|Blue |Red |Green |White
Nation |Norweg|Dane |Brit |German|Swede
Beverage|Water |Tea |Milk |Coffee|Beer
CigBrand|Dunhil|Blend |PalMal|Prince|BlueMaster
Pet |Cats |Horse |birds |FISH |Dog
